Hey, this is Hiccup. [HE SOUNDS REALLY NERVOUS.]

I guess now is a good time to say that if you requested something from the forge, it's all done now, you can come pick it up. We uh... we might not have time for me to take requests right now, but I do have some extra weapons and shields that I made if anyone needs one. Just let me know.

And... you guys? Good luck.

Yeah. [it's a response to both questions, not least of all the one Hiccup can't seem to finish.]

As long as you're okay. [pause, then a little quietly:] I think, this time...we should all stick together. Like when that big robot came; we were more effective that way.

The Mayor made it sound like this happened once before. Other than the Milkman robot, what else has happened to the town that's caused a lot of damage?

Monsters, huh. [well, seeing as how he spends his time around them, it doesn't quite faze him as much as one would hope.]

Back when I was here the first time, I remember hearing about some town outside of Mayfield - Westsomething. People talked about it like it was a wreck. Maybe...Maybe whatever ruined it like that is what the Mayor's talking about.

Not much can be worse than a giant robot.

The Mayor seems like he's getting kind of antsy. He was braver when Grady was around.

...I guess I should start keeping Charizard out of his Poke Ball now.

You don't have to like someone to appreciate their protection.

He was the Pokemon I was riding on when we attacked the robot. He looks like a dragon with a flame on his tail.

...

[even though it'd be wrong to chastise Hiccup for being on the safe side, Red can't help but feel bad for him. not like he's ever celebrated Thanksgiving before, but it's kind of a downer to spend a holiday anxious over what might be laying in wait to kill you. he's quiet for a minute, then speaks again in a quieter, kind of hesitant tone:]

Have you ever flown before? I mean - other than the time with the robot. [whether Hiccup realizes it or not, flying on the back of one of the legendary birds isn't just a rarity; it might even be an honor.]

[he listens attentively and only speaks when Hiccup is done talking, sounding lightly intrigued.]

We do something similar in Kanto. Some wild Pokemon can be troublesome to people, even dangerous. That's why Trainers exist - we teach them right from wrong and show them how to use their abilities to help humans, not hurt them.

Eventually, they can even become our friends. Was it like that with yours?

Every tradition has to start somewhere. I bet, hundreds and hundreds of years ago, Pokemon used to be like that, too. Maybe it only stopped 'cause someone like you came along to stop that.

...Yeah. Just thought it'd be worth trying to talk about happier stuff.
