026 - Phone: Open Call

Hey, this is Hiccup. [HE SOUNDS REALLY NERVOUS.]

I guess now is a good time to say that if you requested something from the forge, it's all done now, you can come pick it up. We uh... we might not have time for me to take requests right now, but I do have some extra weapons and shields that I made if anyone needs one. Just let me know.

Forge? Weapons? [The girl's voice on the other end of the phone sounds nervous.] Ah... what's a good weapon for a beginner?

Something small and light that you can handle without too much difficulty. Probably a dagger or a short sword, but nothing bigger than that. Even kitchen knives would be fine, since they're usually quite sharp and light and easy to handle.

I don't know what's going to happen, but try to stay with people. Don't get caught on your own.

I might, but I'd rather give out stuff to people who don't have anything yet, if you don't mind. If people get what they need and there's still an extra then I'll let you know.

Yeah, arm the new ones first, I agree. I can get by with what I have in the kitchen, maybe, but they're mainly trash steel, and I don't feel bad about throwing them.

I can't begin to guess what's coming, but you mentioned exchanging weaponry for a, a favor. Should you find yourself in need of... backup, it would be rather ungrateful of me not to offer my help. Keep that in mind.

This probably sounds a little awkward to request. Do you have any spare shields left? Preferable circular. [He can work with anything, but he can't throw something oddly shaped.]

We haven't spoken before, but I'm sure I could assist if I was better armed.

Yeah, I've got a few shields. Hopefully one of them will be good for you. If not I can try to modify it to work.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if we've talked or not. I'm just trying to make sure everyone gets what they need.

I'm hoping that you're safe then. It would be unfortunate if you weren't ready because you helped so many others.
