019 - Phone and Action

[Phone:] So hi guys. Uh... I meant to mention this earlier, but then everyone got distracted with the whole Fourth of July and truth telling thing, so... anyway. The people who've been here know this already, but we've got a bunch of new people and I wanted to repeat my offer.

I'm a blacksmith, and I've got a forge. It's not that big, but I'm pretty handy with mechanical stuff and making things, so if you need anything, just let me know and I can probably make it for you.

Uh... and I've got a few things here that are finished but never got given out. If you requested something from me and haven't gotten it yet, it's done, just let me know and I'll get it to you.

[Action:] So like many others in town, Hiccup has received a package in the mail. He's a little wary about opening it, since the last time he got a package he lost his leg again (before getting it back, losing it again, and then getting it back again), but when he shakes it and feels it, he decides to open it and...

...it's the Dragon Manual. He blinks in surprise, then starts flipping through it. Yup. Just like he remembered.

So Hiccup can be found in one of three places today:

A. In the park, sitting on a bench and reading the Dragon Manual and making notes in a notebook.

B. In the front yard of 729 Anderson Lane reading the Dragon Manual and making notes in a notebook.

C. In the backyard of 339 Brady Lane at Quinn's forge, making a racket anyone on the street would be able to hear. All he's doing is getting car parts ready to be used as other stuff, but no one ever said forges were quiet places. If you want to pick something up, request something in person, or accidentally stumble upon a forge you never knew existed, now's the time.

A forge, you say? What sort of things do you make?

Well I mostly make weapons and armor, but I've made a lot of stuff like catapults and whatever back home. I'm pretty good at figuring stuff out, so if you let me know what you're looking for I'll probably be able to make it.

A lot of things, but first I'm thinking a weapon, just in case. An autocrossbow would be the simplest place to start, so how about that? I'll work on drawing up the plans from memory. Where can I bring them to you?

Got it. I'll bring the plans by tomorrow, then. Need any spare parts? Mayfield seems to want me to be a mechanic, which is fine for me. It means I can get all the spare parts I need.

[And here's an Edgar walking up to the place with a journal, looking a bit confused as to where it actually is.]

[It's in the backyard, which he might be able to figure out due to the fact that there's lots of forge-like sounds coming from there. Hiccup's working on a sword or something. He's pretty focused.]

[That would do it, then. Edgar heads back there, and upon seeing who he assumes is Hiccup working at the forge, he starts just looking around, trying not to disturb him as he works.]

[The forge is small, but Hiccup's definitely able to get good work out of it. There's a weapon rack that holds a variety of swords, axes, daggers, and so on. Hiccup finishes up with whatever he's doing and he looks up and sees Edgar. He doesn't know exactly who he is, of course, but he can hazard a guess.]

...Edgar? Are you Edgar?

Likewise. I have to say, this is a nice set up you have here. [He gestures to the forge area, genuinely impressed.]

Thanks. It's technically not mine. Belongs to Quinn, who lives here. I think the town gave it to him at one point? But he doesn't know how to use it so he lets me. So I guess it's basically mine now.
