Guys, I think I really am a communist.

No really. After hearing what it means, it... sounds a lot like the way things work back home. I mean, we kind of sort of have a system where you do something for someone and they repay you in kind, but we really don't have any currency or anything, and everyone just does stuff to help each other out.

It... worked really well. I don't see what the big deal is. Why is it supposedly such a evil thing or whatever? I mean if it works, it works, right?

I can see why they would make such a big deal out of it since this place is based on America in the 1950s.. They didn't really like communists back then.

Well yeah, but I don't get why they don't like them. They won't say anything aside from how evil it is and how it's going to destroy the country or whatever.

Well, seeing as how I come from way in the past, and maybe from a different world, yeah no. I basically got here knowing nothing and I'm still figuring stuff out after... six months? More? Something like that.

It's only been a little bit for me now, but.. luckily I know this much from back home. If you need to know, back in the 1950s there was a Cold War in which America and Russia practically loathed each other.. And since this is supposed to be America and communists all lived in Russia, they think communists are evil here.

No, they called it the Cold War because nobody was actually fighting directly.

No, it's fine. I can understand it would probably be a little hard to understand for someone from an entirely different world.

It's only been half a month or so by now for me.. Plenty of people have been here much longer than that.

Oh yeah. I know a couple of people who've been here for over a year. It's crazy. I've been here for about six months, give or take. Sometimes it feels like a lot longer.

Yeah, a few weeks already seems bad enough to me so far. Although.. I don't mind me being here as much as I mind certain other people being stuck here.

There's someone from back home stuck here I'd rather not see here-- ... no, I'm glad to be able to see her again. But it's too dangerous here for her.

...I know what that feels like. I've had a couple of friends from home here. They both ended up going away again. Both of them could handle it, yeah, but... I still didn't like having to see them here.

It's because you never know what could happen, right? This place is unpredictable more than anything.

Yeah, exactly. It's great having people you know around, but kind of terrible that they have to go through all of this too.
