[It is a beautiful spring day and Hiccup is sitting out on the front lawn with a screwdriver.

He's making a few adjustments to his leg, you see. You know. The prosthetic one that has replaced his amputated left foot. That one.

Go ahead, talk to him. It's not like he's gotten enough comments on his leg yet. No, really.]

It's my prosthetic leg. Just tightening a few things to make it work better, making a couple of adjustments, that sort of thing.

Well... I don't really believe in magic, but I know that there's definitely people here who come from places that have it, so it's not like it doesn't exist for you or anything.

Sure. I mean I have dragons back home, they're all over the place. I've never seen any of the others but that doesn't mean they don't exist somewhere.

Oh? What sorts do you have?

A bunch. Nadderheads, Monstrous Nightmares, Terrible Terrors, Gronkles, Night Furies. A lot more, too, but those are the most common.

Well, okay, Night Furies aren't common at all, but I've got one so I can't really not mention him.

Yeah, I kinda am.

No. I mean. The village used to, because the dragons would attack all the time and steal food and burn down the houses and everything. But that doesn't happen anymore because it turned out that they were just being controlled by this really big dragon, and once that one was killed, all the other dragons were really friendly.

So no we don't. Not anymore.

Feel sorry for those dragons, though. It's hard to be a magical creature and constantly misunderstood... You came from a small village, then?
