004 - A strange request by phone

[When you pick up the phone, it's Hiccup on the other end. He clears his throat nervously.]

Uh... well. I have kind of a weird request for everyone. I was hoping that...

[He sighs and decides to just get it over with already.]

Okay I'm wondering if anybody has any extra appliances around the house that they don't need. I've... kind of gone through what we have in the house without anyone yelling at me yet and I'm trying to keep it that way, so. Yeah.

Keep in mind you probably won't be getting it back. I'm trying to figure out how all this stuff works. It's... well. I guess you could say it's for science.

Wait. I didn't do that right.

[He clears his throat, and then in his best impersonation (which is actually pretty spot-on) of Klaus in full spark mode, he says,]

It's FOR SCIENCE!

Okay! ♪ I've got nothing better to do, so I'll bring it over. Where are you?

729 Anderson Lane. My name's Hiccup, what's yours?

[roadroller]

[YIKES, she feels sorry for him with that name. She covers the phone so she can go "hee!" and hopefully he won't hear.]

... Um - it's Rin Kagamine! ♪

[He's used to it by now. Whether he hears it or not it doesn't really bother him at this point.]

Cool. So yeah, 729 Anderson.

[roadroller]

729 Anderson, got it! ♪

Be right there.

[and she is borrowing her "parent's" car because screw walking and screw road rules, they obviously don't apply to her bad robot self.

She's not exactly used to CARS though (usually it's a road roller) so she screeches a bit while parking near the house]

[He hears the screech and peeks out the window because cars don't usually screech around here. It's Mayfield. Anyway, he opens the door and peeks out.]

Are you Rin?

[roadroller]

[there's a blond girl climbing out of the car with the coffee machine!]

Yes! That's me. ♪ You must be Hiccup then?

[she'd wave if her hands weren't full, but the coffee machine is actually kind of a bulky one so no. She walks up to him]

Ah, where should I put it?

[worstvikingever]

Oh here let me take that. [He swings the door open wide and takes the coffee machine inside, setting it on the kitchen counter for now.]

Thanks so much! This'll really be cool to check out. [He's already looking it over.]

[roadroller]

No problem! I don't drink coffee anyway. ♪

[she leans slightly on the counter, watches him look at it for a minute. Hm, he's pretty excited! She's curious about that.]

Have you ever used one before?

I haven't used it myself, but I've seen the other people in the house use it. It'll be cool to figure out how it works.

[roadroller]

Well, you're gonna take it apart, right? ♪

[worstvikingever]

Yup! Gonna have to take it in the garage to do that, though.

[roadroller]

Oh, like a secret lab? ♪♪

[worstvikingever]

Uh... except without the secret part.

[roadroller]

[she shrugs. Who cares if it's not actually a secret?]

Hm, I guess I'd better get going so you can work on that then.

Oh. Yeah, I wouldn't want to make it seem like I was kicking you out... but yeah.

[roadroller]

It's fine, it's fine. Mad scientists aren't usually renowned for their people skills anyway. ♪

Well, see ya! I'll show myself out.

[and off she heads]

[He waves and grins as she leaves, then his face falls.]

Wait.

I'm not a mad scientist.

[roadroller]

[and she does wait!]

... Eh? ♪

I thought you were like, a mad scientist in training or something.

[He blinks. Then he thinks about Klaus and Lucrezia and how Klaus has been treating him like some sort of little apprentice or something...]

Wow.

Maybe I kinda am.
