[Phone] Okay so I've got a few things that people requested from the forge? I can bring them by houses or you can come pick them up whenever. Basically if you requested something, it's probably done. So... yeah.

This is usually the part where I'd be taking requests, and I can still do that, but I'm working on a project right now so there's gonna be kind of a delay before I can start working on stuff. But yeah! For all the new people I've been hearing around, I'm Hiccup, I have a forge, and I can make weapons, armor, and possibly random stuff. Just let me know and we can work something out. I just got a bunch of tools back from home so it'll make making some really good stuff a lot easier.

[Action, after school] [Hiccup is working at the forge, in the backyard of 339 Brady Lane. He's actually doing something he doesn't usually do given the requests he usually gets. He's working on some kind of mechanism to do... something. It's a little uncertain. But there's a couple of diagrams of car engines.]

So! What sort've things are you forging for the denizens of Mayfield?

Well... whatever they ask for, mostly. But I also have a lot of extra swords and axes and maces and stuff for emergencies.

Do you... ah. Need to use that sort of thing often, around here...?

Every now and then, yeah. The stuff that the town does... it varies a lot, but sometimes things can get really dangerous. It's just... better to be prepared.

You-- don't sound that scared... It doesn't freak you out, this kind of stuff...?

Well I've been here for a while now, so... you kind of... have to take it in stride, I guess. It's not like you get used to it or anything, but... yeah.

S-so brave as well as generous...

Oh, yes, of course! Just fine, fine and dandy! It's not like I'm scared while you're being so manly and half my age or anything, don't be preposterous!! [he is totally waving his hand in dismissal. not that you can... see, or... yeah.]

This is the part where Hiccup bursts out laughing.]

H-haha... hahaha... what are we laughing at, again?

[He gets under control after a minute.]

Nothing, it's just... I come from a village of vikings and I'm like... the least manly viking ever, so... it's just funny to hear someone saying I'm manly at all.

Ah! Vikings are quite manly by nature... maybe that has something to do with it? Or maybe you're coming into your manliness while you're here! Then you'll come home super manly and everyone will be so impressed and you'll get some kind of feast in your honor, or... Vikings do feasts, right? I'm not making this up, I'm relatively sure.
