016 - Phone call

[After the event, Hiccup just kind of... disappeared. In fact, he was hiding and recovering in his room. This was the second time he had killed someone, and though some might say that the second time was always easier, this wasn't the case for Hiccup. Both times he had killed people were... so different from each other.

For one thing, Klaus hadn't been alternately begging for mercy and trying to kill him. For another, killing Klaus with a gun didn't take nearly as much effort as killing Ples with an axe did. And finally, Hiccup couldn't help but think that he didn't have to kill Ples. He could have run away. He could have made it.

But no. He had wanted revenge. He had never felt that before. But he had wanted revenge and he had gotten it.

And it had taken him several days up in his room brooding before he decide he needed to snap out of it.

It was self-defense, right? And everyone was back now. So it was okay.
