014 - Action and Phone

[Klaus is droned. That much was obvious as soon as it happened. Hiccup has no idea if it's temporary or permanent, but either way it's depressing.

And then Hiccup ran into Astrid. The way she said hello immediately tipped him off to the fact that she was gone too. Astrid never talked like that.

So there it was. The man he looked up to as a father and the girl... well. They were gone. Talking to empty shells of them made him want to go somewhere quiet and smash his head against a wall. He didn't, of course. That would be stupid.

So instead he spends most of his time at the forge or just away from the house.

Hiccup, for the purposes of this post, can be found at the forge (339 Brady Lane), or in the park, just quietly sitting on a bench and watching the birds.]

Anyone who asked me to make them stuff, I've got most of it done now. Just give me an address and I can drop it off, or you can come by the forge and pick it up.

[Lyon unfolds the piece of paper. It's got an illustration of one of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagamaki) on it. She's no artist, so it's the best she could do. There are little notes about the length of the blade and hilt, though, and how it compares to some other types of more common swords he might be more familiar with.]

I hope this will work. I've never really had to describe my weapon to anyone before.

When should I come back for it?

I'd say probably about a week, but it might be done earlier. I'll let you know.

[Potentially, yeah. If we assume this happens on Monday, he may have enough time to get it done by Friday, especially given that he's spending most of his free time at the forge now.]

[Okay, cool. Just wanted to know if she'd be able to have it when the murderin' starts happening, since she's going to be trying to protect someone during all of that.]

Yeah, no problem.

[I'm not actually a blacksmith so I'm kind of making stuff up, but given the commissions Hiccup has he may very well be able to get it all done by the event. I just like giving everyone a week as a timeline because it seems about right. For all I know he could finish each individual weapon in less than a day.]
