[Hiccup wakes up in bed with a start, as if from a nightmare.

Well, it was a nightmare. But it was a real nightmare.

He remembers everything.

Even dying.

Especially dying.

But here he is, waking up as if it was a normal day in Mayfield.

He practically catapults out of bed, tearing around the house.]

Klaus?

KLAUS?

[He's panicking. Suddenly he stops, in the middle of the kitchen, remembering something. He bolts out the door and down the street, pausing at the door only long enough to put boots and a coat on.

Down the street he runs, shouting as loudly as possible.]

TOOTHLESS?

TOOTHLESS.

TOOTHLESS!

[He'll be running around town searching for his best friend. The search will, sadly, be in vain.]

[Before he's out the door Lucrezia appears, looking pretty pissed with her nightgown and uncombed hair]

WHO IN THE HELL IS MAK-- Oh. [She leans against the doorjam, arms crossed over her chest]

He jumps back, away from her.]

[She raises an eyebrow and stares at him] Weren't you dead and smeared on the table? [She knows she didn't bring him back to life, and Klaus is still missing so he didn't do it...]

[He twitches when she mentions it, and practically collapses into a ball of nerves and horrible memories. But he doesn't, because he has other things on his mind. Like where is Klaus.

And oh gods where is Toothless.]

[Lu frowns a moment and grabs at a broom (where did she get that from anyhow?) and pokes at Hiccup's arm.

Well, it seems real enough]

Then how are you back already without a completely mechanical body?

[He twitches again and steps back, away from her.]

Um. It... I guess.

Someone... someone mentioned that... that death doesn't last here.

Death...doesn't last... [Well, it sort of didn't last back home either, not when you could bring a head back to life and download yourself into other peoples' brains, but Hiccup had been a smear on the table. And the wall. And the ceiling.

Not nearly enough had been behind to rebuild anything that would resemble Hiccup as closely as this.

Which meant they were, what? Just popped right back into existence or something?]

[He hadn't been thinking when he said it, all that was in his head was oh gods oh gods those things were in my head and then they exploded my head and now klaus and toothless are missing oh gods oh gods and now Lucrezia's looking at me like that

And now, now he realizes that what he said may have been a tad too much information for this particular woman.

So. He's just going to stare at you, horrified, and try edging for the front door.]
