[Loki is finally fed up with waiting. Hiccup has to be done with the devices by now. He picks up the phone and dials Hiccup, holding the phone up to his ear, waiting for it to ring.]

Loki pulls it away from his ear and glares at it. Hanging it up a little harder than necessary, he tries again.]

[...okay and now the phone is ringing. Hiccup picks it up.]

There you are! Your phone wasn't working right. It made weird sounds at me until I hung up and tried again.

I think that's called a busy signal. It happens when you try to call someone and they're using the phone to call someone else.

Well no, 'cause the connection depends on there being a point of reception, and if both people are calling, neither person can be the receiver.
